Our Story

We renovated our fifth-wheeler to be comfortable when completely off-grid. Only needing food, water and fuel when isolated, it is a self-contained unit.

The van is equipped with a complete 1.2 kW solar and battery system, a composting toilet, 570 litres of water, a Fujitsu AC unit, and a diesel heater.  We are connected and safe with Outback Comms/ Starlink Internet, Spot Gen 3 (self-preservation unit) and a Sat phone.
The van is a spacious size, 8.5 x 2.5m body, pulled by a 2006 F250 4x4, equipped with 35-inch tyres, front and rear lockers, bead locks, and a 15,000-pound 'Warn' winch.

​As a couple, we are a nomadic, self-sufficient team. Enjoying our own company, simplicity and independence. 

​Zane is a problem-solver, mechanically minded, and can apply his well-developed skillset over a wide range of trades.
